The number of private environmental companies with a $1bn+ valuation has increased by 14x in recent years vs. only 4x for other sectors*.

Public vs. private markets

Private markets are home to the largest opportunity set - 87% of companies with revenues greater than $100m are private**. Companies are electing to stay private for longer and creating significant value whilst doing so.

Innovative technology

The penetration rate of environmental technologies is low but growing exponentially. The market for environmental technologies is expected to grow from $4.9 trillion in 2020 to $12.1 trillion by 2030***.
